The Ringling Church Story
Built in 1914, the Ringling Church stood as the heart of the St. John’s Catholic Congregation for decades, serving as a place of faith, community, and celebration. However, by the early 1980s, the church was sold to the lowest bidder, stripped down to the studs, and left in disrepair.
Over the years, it changed hands multiple times, with efforts made to preserve the bell tower and renovate the parsonage, but its future remained uncertain. In 2021, a group of local partners and friends came together with a vision: to breathe new life into this historic treasure. Recognizing its architectural beauty, rich history, and potential as a gathering space, they restored the Ringling Church, transforming it into a stunning wedding venue, music hall, and community space.
Today, The Ringling Commons is a place where history meets celebration—where couples say “I do” under century-old stained glass, where music fills the air with breathtaking acoustics, and where the community gathers to create new memories in a truly iconic Montana setting.
